Sireli flew out of country

  Flying Fijians center, Sireli Naqelevuki flew out yesterday and will miss Suva’s BSP Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge on Saturday.Naqelevuki will team up with another Flying Fijians Josh Matavesi with the Exeter Chiefs in England. The Suva Rugby team has had the services of Naqelevuki later into the Digicel Cup competition season after the former Stormers winger’s contract ended. He was a force in the Suva side when they made the semifinal in the Digicel Cup. Speaking yesterday, former Suva coach and national sevens selector, Epi Kolinivala said Naqelevuki was to fly out last Friday.“Because it is stricter now, he was a bit late to the airport so he had to fly out yesterday.“My son took him down to the airport tyesterday morning where he flew out in the 3pm flight."Kolinivala said all he understands was that Naqelevuki would join young Matavesi.“He has signed the contract for a year where he will be assessed and the contract will be reviewed based on his performance," Kolinivala added. He confirmed, Naqelevuki’s new club were eager to have the utility backline player in for their off season training before their new season begins.The Exeter Chiefs will this year play in the Aviva Premiership.Clubs competing in the Aviva Premiership qualify for Europe’s two club competitions, the Heineken Cup and the European Challenge Cup. The current champions are Leicester Tigers, who won a record ninth title in 2009 10.
